1. IFI Member / APID Member: Registrants are entitled to attend the General Assembly.
2. General Assembly: The meeting is open to the delegates of all IFI Members and will be hosted by the Association of Professional
Interior Designers (APID) in the United Arab Emirates. Agenda items include reports, programs and initiatives, projects, business administration and is the forum for the election of the new Executive Board of IFI for the 2009 – 2011 term. The General Assembly is followed by the IFI Congress which will be held on November 10th & 11th.
3. Non- Members: Registrants are entitled to attend the Welcome Dinner on 7th November and the 2 day Design Congress on 10th & 11th November 2009.
Additional Social Events Tickets are optional for all registrants and accompanying spouses / partners.
* For administrative and preparatory reasons, (on-line) registration is possible until Thursday 29th October 2009, 12:00 hrs (GMT+ 4). From this date onwards, we advise you to register and pay on-site at the Grand Hyatt during Congress registration hours commencing on 6th November 2009.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION:
- IFI 2009 pre-reserved a limited number of hotel rooms in every mentioned hotel. Hotel rooms are booked on first come first served basis, so it is advisable to book your hotel early.
- In the event your preferred hotel is fully booked, the Congress Secretariat reserves the right, after consultation with the participant, to book another hotel.
- To guarantee a hotel reservation, the whole stay of hotel accommodation will be charged as a deposit fee at the time of booking.
- Please note that the deadline for guaranteed room reservations is 15th August 2009. Requests for room reservations after this deadline can only be handled upon availability of rooms, available room rates and with credit card guarantee.
- Room rates are inclusive of 10% service charge & 10% municipality fee. Any change in the general rate of municipality fee may be changed subject to government discretion and will reflect in the rates published
- Breakfast is not included in the room rate, paid on consumption basis upon checkout.
- There is only one room type at Novotel Deira City Centre hotel, 1 Double Bed + 1 Sofa
- All changes to hotel reservations will be performed by MCI Dubai. All changes must be requested in writing.
- Hotel check-in time is 15.00 hrs or later. If arriving after 18.00 hrs, please notify MCI Dubai in advance. Check-out time is between 11.00 and 12.00 hrs (depending on the hotel). In order to guarantee your room availability for an early check-in or late check-out, an additional night reservation is strongly recommended.
CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
If you cannot attend the IFI 2009 World Interior Design congress we are happy to accept a substitute colleague at any time. If you have to cancel entirely, we regret that no refunds can be made after your confirmation.
METHOD OF PAYMENT:
Payment of fees in Dollars ($) must accompany all registrations. No registration will be confirmed until payment is received. Payment can be made by the following methods:
- Credit Cards: VISA / MasterCard, EuroCard and American Express
- Bank transfer: a copy of the bank receipt must be sent by fax or e-mailed together with the completed registration form to + 971 4 341 3782 or send an email to: ifi2009dubai@mci-group.com
- Cheques: are accepted but ONLY for UAE based companies issued by a UAE local bank

For payment traceability purposes please indicate your name, your reference number (shown on attached booking confirmation) and "IFIDUBAI2009" while processing of bank transfer.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Registrations not accompanied by appropriate payment as outlined above will not be honored until full payment is received.
- When names of participants are NOT stated on the bank transfer, your payment cannot be linked. Consequently, your payment will be unknown to the Administration Office.
- Only the forms of payment listed above are acceptable. Company and personal cheques are not accepted unless company is based in the UAE.
- Currency exchange charges or bank collection fees are the responsibility of the registrant.
- Please do not forward any values by mail. The Organizing Committee will accept no liability for any loss.
INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
In registering for the IFI 2009 Dubai World Interior Design Congress you agree that neither the Organizing Committee nor the Congress Secretariat accept any liability. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements in respect of health and travel insurance.
CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
When your completed registration form plus payment is received by the Congress Secretariat you will receive a written confirmation of your registration by email. The confirmation will include a registration number which must be submitted at the registration desk when receiving the congress badge and documents.
