Letter of Invitation

Dear Friends,

Under the Patronage of H.R.H Princess Haya, wife of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, APID (Association of Professional Interior Designers, UAE) is honored to host the 24th IFI General Assembly and World Interior Design Congress 2009 in Dubai from 7 – 12th November at The Grand Hyatt, Dubai, UAE.

As part of the congress theme of ‘Celebrating Interior Design’ it has been agreed that the final speaker of the IFI 2009 DUBAI would be a Student of Interior Design, the theme of the speaker or presenter will be  “Interior Design In 2030”.

We are requesting universities world wide to select one student to submit their vision of “Interior Design in 2030”, to be chosen by a jury consisting of IFI and APID representatives, along with the selected celebrities. The chosen student will be funded to attend the event from the 6h to 11th Nov in Dubai and present his or her Vision as the closing presentation of the event. The importance of such a presentation for the student, university, country and indeed for the International Interior Design Congress is without doubt significant.

We request national associations or individual universities to pre-select from entrants and submit one only from either association/ university for final selection by the agreed juries. All submissions should be received by October 10th for final selection by October 20th 2009.
